I understand how money evaluates a business, because I’ve sat on both sides of that table.
Financial Decision Strategist for Founders · Greendiggers.com
I’m Lisa Jane Celestine. I’m a financial strategist and decision advisor for founders in the messy middle. That’s the stage where you’re making real money but the financial picture is still unclear, inconsistent, or stressful. I help you understand what your numbers are actually telling you, so you can make smarter decisions and build a business that’s financially sound.Â
Before working directly with founders, I spent years as a Federal Reserve Examiner, Â evaluating financial institutions for soundness, risk management, and capital adequacy. That perspective is rare.
Most founders never get access to it. Greendiggers is how I make it available.
Federal Reserve Examiner
Bank Supervisor. Evaluated financial institutions for soundness, risk, and capital adequacy. This is the institutional lens I bring to every founder I work with.
Cornell University
MBA. The analytical and strategic foundation behind how I evaluate financial structures, assess risk, and think about capital.Â
Georgetown University
BS, McDonough School of Business. Where foundational business thinking, financial analysis, and systems-level understanding came together.
THE THESIS
WHAT I BELIEVE
Most founders in the messy middle are not making bad decisions. They’re making decisions without the right financial picture.
No one has ever looked at their business with a diagnostic lens and said: here’s what’s actually happening, here’s what’s wrong, here’s what to do. That’s what I do.
Not coaching. Not bookkeeping.
A structured diagnostic that gives founders a clear financial picture and a specific action plan. My job is not to hand you a framework and send you on your way. My job is to look at your actual business, tell you what’s wrong, and tell you what to do about it.
THE FOUNDATION BEHIND THE WORK
COIN CHRONICLES
The Complete Guide to Navigating from Money Mystery to Money Mastery
Before I built the Greendiggers Diagnostic Framework®, I wrote Coin Chronicles, with a foreword by George Comer, Professor of Finance at Georgetown University. It is a complete guide to understanding your personal relationship with money and building the financial foundation that everything else depends on.
Here’s what I’ve learned from working with founders: your personal financial patterns don’t disappear when you start a business. They get amplified. The way you price your work, the fear around raising your rates, the guilt about making more than you expected, all of it is connected to how you’ve always related to money. Coin Chronicles addresses that layer. The diagnostic work addresses the business layer. They’re designed to work together.

PERSONAL STORY
My Background
Money wasn’t something that got explained in my house growing up. It was something people stressed about and stayed quiet about. No one was modeling what it looked like to understand your finances, make intentional decisions, or build something lasting with what you earned.
What changed that was access. Georgetown gave me the analytical foundation. Cornell sharpened the strategic lens. And the Federal Reserve gave me something most people never get – years inside one of the most powerful financial institutions in the country, seeing how businesses were actually structured, where the real risks were, and what separated a financially sound operation from one that only looked fine on the surface.
